Hello Again!
Greetings from President/CEO Dana Badgerow
Dear Accredited Business,

We Want to Connect With You!

As we christen our new electronic newsletter, it strikes me that technology has made connections among us easier—and yet harder. Our lives are filled with texts, tweets, emails, Facebook likes and comments, and we have the illusion that we are communicating more, at the speed of the fastest wireless connection. So too, the BBB now wants to connect with you electronically through this newsletter, in the hope that we will reach you more quickly and effectively. But, are we really communicating more in this world of networked transmissions? Maybe so ... maybe not.

The (Many) Perks of
Accreditation
New Tools & Services to Promote Your Business

Now there are new ways to promote your business and take further advantage of your BBB Accreditation. The first is the BBB Accredited Business Directory, a “Who You Can Trust” Online Directory of all BBB Accredited Businesses searchable by business category or city. As a BBB Accredited Business you are automatically listed alphabetically in your business category(ies) for consumers to see. However, for greater exposure and results, you now have the opportunity to stand out in the alphabetical listing or move to the top of your category where consumers will see your company name and logo first.

The second way to leverage your Accreditation is to utilize our new Business Reviews. As a local business leader and Accredited Business, you understand that in today’s marketplace, having a trustworthy reputation and brand is just as important as the quality of your work and customer service. For almost 100 years now, savvy consumers have been turning to the BBB to get reliable company information to make informed purchasing decisions. With your new Business Review, you can now provide consumers with more detailed information about your company.

BBB Investigation of the Month
ATB Autos
Our BBB was alerted recently to ATB Autos, an auto dealership claiming an address in Luverne, Minnesota. The consumer who brought this to our attention reported the company was advertising used cars at unbelievably low prices on their website, but when people called them to follow up, company representatives then tried to sell them other merchandise. The consumer believed the company was fraudulent and requested a BBB investigation.
